Garlic powder
Garlic powder is derived from high-quality dried garlic cloves, ground into a fine, uniform powder. It delivers an intense, characteristic garlic flavor without the need for chopping, blends instantly into sauces, pasta, and spice rubs, and provides a consistent and reproducible result in every recipe. Compared to granules, the powder mixes more evenly into foods and is ideal for sauces that require a smooth texture.
The ingredient we use
We use high-quality dried garlic cloves, ground into a fine, uniform powder, raw, without additives or colorings. The color is light beige-yellow, characteristic of dried garlic powder. The powder is fine and dissolves easily in liquids and sauces.
Botanical identity
Garlic (Allium sativum, family Amaryllidaceae) has been cultivated for over 5,000 years. It originally comes from Central Asia and is grown all over the world. In Ancient Egypt, it was so important that the pyramid workers received it as part of their daily wages.
Aroma, color and taste
Light beige-yellow color with a fine, glossy texture. The aroma is intense and characteristically garlicky, delivered immediately without the need for chopping. The taste is rich and pungent with a slightly sweet note from the drying process. Compared to granules, the powder provides a more intense flavor and is ideal for sauces that require a smooth texture.
How to use
Add directly to meat and pasta sauces for an instant garlicky flavor. Excellent in soups, broths and roasts. Add to dips, salad dressings and spice rubs. Also see our Garlic Granules for the same flavor in a coarser form.
Combinations
With thyme, oregano and parmesan for Mediterranean dressings. With turmeric and cumin for Indian compositions. With black pepper and paprika for barbecue sauce. With rosemary and lemon for chicken marinades.
Physical appearance
Fine, glossy, light beige-yellow powder with good flow — it is immediately distinguished from granules due to its finer grind and more uniform dispersion.
Storage
In a cool and dark place, in an airtight container away from moisture. Keeps for up to 2 years.
Precautions
Contains no known allergens. Individuals with sensitivity to the Amaryllidaceae family (garlic, leeks) should use with caution.
