Rooibos – Red Tea
Rooibos – Red Tea
Rooibos – Red Tea is a rooibos infusion without Camellia sinensis leaves, with a mild, earthy and naturally sweet character. It is a carefully selected choice for everyday brewing, whether you prefer your drink plain or want to experiment with different strengths and serving styles. The final result is affected by the amount of product, the water temperature and the steeping time. For this reason, it is best to try it for the first time without adding many extra flavors, so you can get to know its character clearly.
Aroma and flavor profile
In the cup, it has a mild, earthy and naturally sweet character. The aroma develops as soon as the hot water comes into contact with the leaves or ingredients in the blend and changes as steeping continues. Since it is made from natural raw ingredients, there may be slight variations between batches in color, piece size and aroma intensity. These natural differences are to be expected and do not change the product’s essential identity.
How to prepare
Use about 1–2 teaspoons per cup, depending on the strength you prefer. Add hot water and leave to steep for a few minutes before straining. If the result is stronger than you prefer, reduce the quantity or steeping time. If it is too mild, gradually adjust one variable at a time. This method helps you find your own consistent ratio and more easily reproduce the same flavor.
Hot or iced
It can be enjoyed hot or used as a base for iced tea. For a cold preparation, first make a slightly more concentrated infusion, strain it and let it cool before adding ice. If you like, you can add lemon, fruit, honey or another sweetener in small quantities. However, try the product plain first, so that any additions you choose later complement rather than mask its natural profile.
Pairings and serving
It can be served with honey, vanilla, fruit and light desserts. A suitable accompaniment does not need to be complicated or particularly intense. Simple flavors leave more room for the drink’s aromas and make it easier to assess its flavor. If you want to compare different teas, use the same quantity, the same water and a similar brewing time. This way, the differences you notice will be more attributable to the product itself.
Practical tips
Use fresh water and a clean filter or teapot. Leave enough room for the leaves and other ingredients so the water can circulate around them. An overfilled small filter can prevent even extraction. If you often prepare the same product, a small kitchen scale can help you keep the quantity consistent. You can then change only the steeping time or temperature and more easily find the preparation that suits your taste.
Form and natural appearance
Depending on the blend, the package may contain tea leaves, herbs, flowers, fruit or spices in different sizes and weights. It is normal for smaller pieces to settle at the bottom during transport. In blends with multiple ingredients, gently stir before measuring out a portion for your cup, so that the serving is more representative of the overall composition. Minor color and appearance variations between batches are normal.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry and dark place, away from direct sunlight, moisture, steam and heat sources. Seal the package tightly after each use and use a clean, dry spoon. Dried leaves and botanical ingredients can absorb foreign odors, so avoid storing an open package next to coffee, strongly scented spices or aromatic products. Proper storage helps preserve the flavor, texture and aroma.
Precautions
This product is a food and is not intended to diagnose, prevent or treat diseases. When it contains Camellia sinensis, mate or another natural ingredient with caffeine, this should be taken into account by people limiting their caffeine intake. For children, pregnancy, breastfeeding, allergies, chronic conditions or medication use, consult an appropriate health professional if you have any doubts about regular consumption. Follow sensible serving sizes and take the specific composition of each blend into account.
