Dried Carolina Reaper peppers 3 pcs
Three whole dried Carolina Reapers in the bowl — wrinkled, deep red-orange, with the characteristic pointed tail that makes them immediately recognizable. This chili currently holds the Guinness World Record as the hottest chili in the world — over 2,000,000 Scoville units. It's not just hot. It's an entirely different category.
The chili we use
Whole dried Carolina Reaper — 3 pieces per package. Drying fully preserves the capsaicin and aromatic elements of the fruit. The dried pieces have a wrinkled surface, a deep red-orange color, and the variety's characteristic tail.
Botanical identity
The Carolina Reaper (Capsicum chinense) was created by Ed Currie in South Carolina, USA, from a cross between a Pakistani Naga and a Red Habanero. In 2013, it was certified by Guinness World Records with an average heat of 1,641,183 Scoville units and a peak of over 2,200,000 SHU. It officially remains the hottest chili in the world.
Aroma, color and taste
Fruity, sweet aroma, with notes of cherry and tropical fruits — deceptively pleasant. The heat comes with a delay but with an explosive intensity that can last 20-30 minutes. Deep red-orange color in its dried form.
How it is used
Exclusively in minimal quantities — a small piece is enough to give extreme heat to a large pot. Used in oil infusions, home-made hot sauce, and by enthusiasts who test their limits. It can be ground into powder for extremely hot rubs and sauces.
Combinations
With honey, mango or pineapple, it creates sauces that balance extreme heat with natural sweetness. In oil infusion with garlic for drops on pizza and pasta. The quantity is always measured in drops or minimal pieces.
Natural appearance
Whole dried peppers with a wrinkled, uneven surface. Deep red-orange color, size approximately 4-6cm. The characteristic pointed tail is the distinctive feature of the variety.
Storage
In a closed container or sealed bag, away from moisture and light. In dry conditions, they keep for many months without loss of heat.
Precautions
Extremely high capsaicin content. Strictly avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes and wounds — use gloves when handling. Not recommended for children, pregnant women, people with gastrointestinal diseases or heart problems. In case of ingesting a large amount, contact a doctor.
